ATTRIBUTED TO BARTOLOMEO ESTEBAN MURILLO 1618 Seville - 1682 ibid CRUCIFIX Oil on copper panel, set into a cocobolo wooden cross, with walrus tusk inlays on the front, back and bottom, ornamentally blackened. 41.5 x 28 cm (copper panel) 47.2 x 33.7 cm (cocobolo cross). Part. loss of colour, heavily soiled surface. Diego Angulo Iniguez lists three almost identical and thus very comparable crucifixes in his three-volume monograph on Murillo's work.
