PTAH-SOKAR-OSIRIS Egypt, probably Late Period, 26-31st Dynasty Wood, carved and polychrome painted, with inscription band along the front and back of the body. H. 44.5 cm, total h. 49.5 cm (with plinth). Part. rubbed, shrinkage cracks, slight loss of colour. Encore: an Egyptian Scarabaeus, probably alabaster, carved. L. 8.8 cm. Provenance: Old collection Dr Ehlen, Bonn. Previously in private ownership, Ehlen family collection since the early 20th century.
