REPLICA OF AN ATTIC NECK AMPHORA Probably 19./20th century Red clay, fired, black figure. H. 37.5 cm, W. approx. 26 cm. Luchtenberg collection inventory number 'A 63'. Indented, black round base. Widening, bulging body with straight shoulders. Palmette lotus bud ornament in the handle zones. Ribbon handles on both sides in the form of three beads, attached to the cylindrical neck. Blackened neck expansion. Front and back with scenes from Greek mythology. Part. rubbed and min. dam. Provenance: Luchtenberg Foundation.
