THREE IVORY CARVED NETSUKE AND AN INLAID INRO Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. of netsukes 3.2-7.7 cm, H. of inro 7.4 cm. Including a two-part manju netsuke carved with articles for tee ceremony, a manju netsuke with end pieces of ridge tiles with names of temples in company with an inlaid inro as well as another two-part netsuke in form of clams with signature "Masatsugu". With traces of use, partially damaged and cracked. This lot contains elephant ivory and is therefore subject to CITES regulations with restrictions on imports or exports. It is a buyer's responsibility to obtain any export or import licences, certifications and any other required documentation. Certificate for intra-EU trade is issued. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
