A FINE SILK APPLIQUE THANGKA DEPICTING A DALAI LAMA China (Tibet), 18th century Silk/textile, framed. 62.5x41.5 cm (85.2x64 cm with frame). The Dalai Lama is presented in the middle, seated enthroned behind an offering table, dressed in voluminous robes, holding a manuscript in his left hand and a lotus blossom in his right. With traces of age, partially slightly damaged. Provenance: From the collection of Günther Werker, a former German diplomat in South Asia.
