Description
A FINE IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF HUNTER AND FOX AS HAKUZOSU Japan, 18th century Ivory. H. 6 cm. This netsuke shows the scene when the nephew, a hunter, discovers that his uncle, the monk Hakuzoshu, is disguised by a fox, and attacks in anger. With traces of use and age, slightly chipped and cracked. This lot contains materials that require a CITES permit when exported to countries outside the EU. Certificate for intra-EU trade is issued.
