A STAG ANTLER CARVED NETSUKE OF A MALAYAN DEMON Japan, probably 18th century Antler. H. 5 cm. The netsuke is carved as a devil, derived from Malayan kris handle, seated with hands resting on knees. With traces of age and rest of red lacquer. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
