Description
A STAG ANTLER CARVED NETSUKE OF A RONIN Japan, 19th century Antler. H. 9.7 cm. The netsuke is carved as a topless ronin with his arms crossed in front of his chest and a kiseruzutsu and a tabako-ire on his waist, carrying a katana on his back. With traces of age and use. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
