AN IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF ASHINAGA WITH SNAKE Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 12.4 cm. This netsuke is carved as Ashinaga holding the tail of a snake. With traces of use, partially abraded and cracked, probably restored. This lot contains materials that require a CITES permit when exported to countries outside the EU. Certificate for intra-EU trade is issued.
