AN IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF CHOKWARO SENNIN Japan, 18th century Ivory. H. 4.3 cm. The netsuke is carved as the immortal seated holding in his left hand the gourd, from which the horse issues. With traces of use, partially cracked and abraded. This lot contains elephant ivory and is therefore subject to CITES regulations with restrictions on imports or exports. It is a buyer's responsibility to obtain any export or import licences, certifications and any other required documentation. Certificate for intra-EU trade is issued.
