A LARGE THANGKA DEPICTING SAMANTABHADRA China (Tibet), 19th century Distemper on cloth, framed. 93x71 cm (109.5x86.5 cm with frame). The thangka depicts Samantabhadra, the primordial buddha of the Nyingma Tradition, embracing the consort white Samantabhadri, seated atop a throne, surrounded by various buddhas and deities. With traces of age, partially damaged and with loss of colors. Provenance: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
