A WOOD CARVED NETSUKE OF A BOY OXHERD AND OX Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 4.2 cm. The netsuke is carved as a boy oxherd seated on the ox, with a basket on back, playing a flute, inscribed with "Tomotada" on the bottom. With traces of use, slightly abraded.
