A WOOD CARVED NETSUKE OF A TIGER Japan, late 19th century Wood. H. 3.3 cm. The netsuke is carved as a seated tiger with inlaid eyes, signed probably "Kozan". With traces of use, partially abraded and damaged. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
