A STAG ANTLER NETSUKE OF FUKUROKUJU AND A TAGUA NUT NETSUKE OF A FEMALE FACE Japan, 19th century Antler/tagua nut. H. 5-6.2 cm. The tagua nut carved netsuke is signed "Gyokuichi". With traces of use, partially abraded. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
