Description
A THANGKA DEPICTING YAMANTAKA China (Tibet), 19th/20th century Distemper on cloth, framed and under glass. 82.5x54 cm (84.5x59.5 cm with frame). Yamantaka stands in alidhasana with his consort Vajravetali surrounded by a fiery aureole. Numerous deities are depicted surrounding the central figure. With traces of age, partially damaged or abraded. Provenance: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
