Description
A FINE BRONZE LUDUAN-FORM CENSER AND COVER China, Ming Dynasty Bronze. H. 18 cm. The censer is cast in the form of a luduan, with its head functioning as the hinged cover. It features a scrolling mane and a horn protruding from the top of its head, while its mouth is wide open, revealing teeth, sharp fangs, and a tongue. Its finely detailed tail stands upright. With traces of age, partially abraded.
