Description
AN AMULET GHAU-BOX IN GOLD-PLATED SILVER Tibet/Nepal, 20th century Silver/Metal/Gemstone. Ca. 6x7 cm. This amulet Ghau-Box is decorated with Garuda on the front of the cover, the figure is made of turquoise, coral and probably lapis. The inside of the cover with the mantra "Namchu Wangden," a symbol from the Tibetan Buddhist text "Kalachakra Tantra." The inside of the box with a seated Bodhisattva Kshitigarbha, partly consisting of turquoise and coral. The back of the pendant shows Tibetan mantras 'aum ah hum'. With traces of use, partially damaged and abraded.
