Description
A KHMER BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA Thailand, 12th century Bronze. H. 36.5 cm (42 cm with base). The Buddha stands with both hands in the abhaya mudra, adorned with a diadem, pointed ear ornaments, and a necklace of pointed pendants. He wears a robe and a broad, decorative belt fastened around his waist. The figure displays a rough, green patina. With traces of age, partially damaged. Provenance: From a private collection in Rheinland-Pfalz.
