A MUGHAL MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF A NOBLE LADY India, 18th/19th century Watercolor and gold on paper, framed and under glass. 30.2x23.7 cm with frame. The painting depicts a noble lady wearing tulle skirt and valuable jewelry. The painting is heightened with gold leaf. With traces of age, partially damaged and loss of color. Provenance: From the collection of the German Indologist Hermann Jacobi (1850-1937), acquired as a present in Agra in 1914, then by descent within the family.
