A COPPER ALLOY SEATED FIGURE OF AVALOKITESHVARA SHADAKSHARI China (Tibet), 14th century or later Copper alloy. H. 22 cm. This copper alloy seated figure represents Avalokiteshvara Shadakshari. The face of Avalokiteshvara exudes tranquility and compassion, with softly delineated features and downcast eyes. The figure is adorned with elaborate jewelry, including necklaces and bracelets. With traces of age, partially damaged. Provenance: From an important private collection in Cologne.
