EINE VERGOLDETE FIGUR VON VAJRASATTVA AUS BRONZE
Description
A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF VAJRASATTVA China, in early Ming style, probably later Bronze. H. 28.8 cm. Vajrasattva is seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with left hand holding a ghanta and the right hand raised in karana mudra and originally holding a vajra. In addition to flowing dhoti, beaded necklaces and foliat earrings, he also wears an elaborate crown with his hair drawn into a high chignon. With traces of age, partially abraded and slightly damaged. Provenance: From a France private collection.
