Description
A GILT BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF A LAMA China (Tibet), 17th/18th century Bronze. H. 13 cm. The lama dressed in a vest and billowing sanghati with patterned hems is seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, with the right hand in bhumisparsa mudra and the left resting on lap. The base is sealed, the plate is cast with a double vajra. With traces of age, partially abraded and damaged. Provenance: From an important private collection in Cologne.
