Description
FIVE IVROY AND ONE WALRUS TUSK CARVED NETSUKE Japan, 19th century Ivory/walrus tusk. H. 2.5-5.8 cm. Including an ivory netsuke of a farmer with monkey with inscription "Hidemasa", an ivory netsuke of Tanuki in human attire, an ivory netsuke of two gods of luck with abacus with signature "Kyokusei", an ivory netsuke of a boy with a big basket, an ivory netsuke of two Rakan with signature "Jugyoku" and a walrus tusk netsuke of Ebisu. With traces of use, partially cracked and damaged as well as restored.
