Description
OGAWA HARITSU ATTRIBUTED, A BLACK LACQUER AND INLAID TWO-CASE INRO Japan, 18th/19th century Lacquerware. H. 5.5 cm. The inro is decorated with a continuous design of a bundle of berries in a basket by inlaying mother-of-pearl, pottery and pewter, signed on the back "Haritsu zo" with seal "Kan". With traces of use, partially damaged. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
