TWO WOOD CARVED 'FIGURAL' NETSUKE Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 3.8-4.3 cm. Including a netsuke carved as a seated sennin with inlaid eyes and a noh actor in the role of Shojo. With traces of age and use, partially damaged or abraded. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
