FRANZ PELESCHKA-LUNARD 1873 Vienna - after 1911 Berlin 'CURTSY'* 1925-1929 Chrysselephant, bronze, golden patina, arms, upper body and one foot carved from ivory, on a stepped marble base (h. 2 cm). Overall h. 23, w. 11.5, d. 10 cm, weight approx. 1.84 kg. Signed ' 'Peleschka-Lunard' and foundry mark 'RM' (Rosenthal & Maeder Berlin) on the reverse. Fully sculpted depiction of a young lady in Biedermeier costume, in a slightly bent gesture of greeting with a hat hanging from her left hip. Part. bumped and loss of patina. CITES certificate available. Trade in ivory/tortoiseshell is only permitted in the EU. Export to countries such as USA, Canada, England currently not possible. Please check the import regulations.
