Mercie' on the base, foundry mark 'F. Barbedienne Fondeur', inside numbered '993'. Fully sculpted depiction of the standing David, depicted as a youth dressed in a loincloth and headscarf, sheathing his sword, the severed head of the giant Goliath at his feet. Min. rubbing and loss of patina, arm attached. Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
