JAMES EARLE FRASER 1876 Winona, Minnesota - 1953 Westport, Connecticut 'END OF THE TRAIL' Bronze, dark patina, on a rectangular wooden base (h. 4 cm). Overall h. 45.5, w. 41, d. 15.5 cm, weight approx. 12.61 kg. Signed 'JE Fraser' on the front, foundry mark 'American Bronze Casting' on the back. On a rock-like plinth a fully sculpted depiction of a Native American sitting on a horse, the body slumped. Part. Loss of patina, min. rubbed and bumped, base min. bumped. Literature: Cf.
