ITALIAN SCULPTOR Active in the 16th/17th century. FORTUNA ON THE GLOBE Bronze, dark patinated, on round plinth and round cylinder marble base (h. 6 cm). Overall h. 28,5, w. 7,5, d. 12 cm, weight ca. 0,95 kg. Luchtenberg collection inventory number 'B/b 35' on verso. Full-length half-nude depiction of Fortuna, with blindfolded eyes, handing the crown and balancing with one foot on the globe. Part. Traces of oxidation and rubbed, min. bumped, verso under the cloth min. dam. and closed wax pouring spots. Provenance: Luchtenberg Foundation.
