CHARLES VALTON 1851 Pau - 1918 Chinon LARGE PANTHER IN MORTAL COMBAT Bronze, dark and partially golden patinated, on a wooden base (h. 4 cm). Overall h. 44, l. 67, d. 20 cm, weight approx. 24.89 kg. Signed on the front 'C. Valton' to the front, numbered '324C' to the side of the plinth, foundry mark 'Siot Paris'. Fully sculpted depiction of a downed panther pierced by two arrows. Part. Loss of patina, min. bumped and rubbed.
