CLAUDE MICHEL CLODION 1738 Nancy - 1814 Paris (probably) YOUNG BACCHANT Bronze, dark patina, on a pedestal marble base (h. 13,5 cm). Overall h. 43, w. 13, d. 12.5 cm, weight approx. 3.62 kg. Probably clodion or sculptor early 19th century. Fully sculpted depiction of a young bacchante, balancing on one leg, holding a drinking vessel aloft. Part. Loss of patina and rubbed, base dam.
