CAMILLE CLAUDEL 1864 Fère-en-Tardenois - 1943 Montdevergues (after) 'LA PETITE CHATELAINE' Bronze, dark patina. H. 32, w. 26,5, d. 20 cm, weight approx. 7,29 kg. Inscribed 'Camille Claudel' and marked 'Cire Pedué AA Hebrard' on the reverse, posthumous casting. The bust of a girl by Claudel La Petite Châtelaine depicts the six-year-old granddaughter of the owner of the Château de l'Islette near Azay-le-Rideau. Between 1892 and 1896, Camille Claudel produced several versions of this sculpture using materials such as terracotta, plaster, marble and bronze. Part. Loss of patina, rubbed and bumped.
