A. JUAGAIN Probably active in the 19th century. PRAISE TO THE ARTS Bronze, brown patina, on a plinth. H. 60, w. 24, d. 20 cm, weight approx. 10.54 kg. Signed on the reverse 'A. Juagain'. Depiction of a youth, holding a palm leaf and laurel wreath in his right hand. In his left hand he holds a figure of a deity. A painter's palette lies at his feet behind him. On the front of the plinth a cartouche with inscription: 'Le Peuple Courannant les Arts'. Part. dam. and loss of patina, rest. on the arm, staff of the deity missing.
