GERMAN SCHOOL in the style of the 2nd half of the 16th century. IMPORTANT HANDLE JUG FROM THE REFORMATION PERIOD German, dated '1501' Wood, turned, chalk ground, gold and black lacquer, polychrome painting, tin mount with silver, satirical medal from the 16th century embedded at the top. H. 33.7 cm. Partly dirty, minor color loss also inside. Provenance: Southwest German private collection.
