GEORG TAPPERT Berlin 1880 - 1957 'SELF-PORTRAIT' (C. 1909) Oil on canvas, on panel. 46 x 38 cm (f. 56 x 48 cm). Signed upper left. Verso: painting of a female semi-nude. The meticulous restoration of the back of the painting, which had been painted over in black, uncovered another painting depicting a female semi-nude with a Japanese vase.
