LUI RUMMLER active 2nd half of 20th c. NEWSPAPER READING GENTLEMAN Oil on panel. 85,5 x 81 cm (f. 90,5 x 86 cm). Signed 'LUI' upper right. LUI Rummler, also spelled Rommler or Rommley, studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, among others with Joseph Beuys. His oil paintings are influenced by the expressive painting of the 1920s and the tendencies of the New Objectivity. Surface slightly soiled, partly with scratches, slightly discoloured. Frame.
