CHRISTIAN ROHLFS 1849 Niendorf - 1938 Hagen 'FLOWERS IN A VASE' (1916) Watertempera on paper. 65,7 x 48,8 cm (f. 87,5 x 70,5 x 5 cm). Monogrammed and dated 'CR (19)16' lower right. On the reverse with a pencil drawing, probably of a circular aisle, and illegibly inscribed. Part. slightly foxed, browned. Mounted in a passepartout and framed behind glass. Expertise: With a written confirmation of authenticity from the Christian Rohlfs Archive at the Osthaus Museum, Hagen, dated 05.10.2023. The work is registered in the archive with the number CRA 241/23. Provenance: Heinrich Remmert, Düsseldorf (since the 1980s); last private collection Düsseldorf; through succession to the present owner.
