WOLFGANG TÜMPEL 1903 Bielefeld - 1978 Herdecke BRASS CAN Germany, Bielefeld, probably around 1960 Prismatic body w. form-fitting lid, handmade. Sheet brass sawn, hammered, soldered. H. 12 cm, w. 10 cm, d. 9 cm. Slightly patinated, partly slightly stained and slightly dented. It could be an experimental model that was created in connection with the design of the Tchibo coffee tin (1962). Provenance: Private property Ruhr area. The family belonged to Tümpel's circle of acquaintances in Bielefeld.
