Description
IMPORTANT MONUMENTAL BAROQUE CABINET South German, around 1700 Softwood, walnut, veneered, fittings with putti heads, iron locks and fittings. H. 260, w. 390, d. 60 cm. This monumental, Baroque sacristy or hall cupboard probably originates from southern Germany from around 1700. With its imposing size and masterful craftsmanship, it is an outstanding example of Baroque furniture art. The cabinet stands out with its finely crafted, protruding pillars, doors and drawers, which impressively reflect Baroque splendor. Such a rare piece is not only a functional piece of furniture, but also an art-historical jewel that brings the splendor and magnificence of the Baroque era to life. Rectangular corpus with attached bastion panels, twelve-lobed and six double doors, divided by a plinth, central section and projecting profiled cornice. Part. Bumped and damaged.
