MARMOR SÄULE UND CASSOLETTE IM LOUIS XVI-STIL

MARBLE COLUMN AND CASSOLETTE IN THE LOUIS XVI STYLE France, 19th/20th century. Marble and fire-gilt bronze. Column h. 112, w. 32, d. 26 cm, cassolette h. 52 cm. Conical column shaft over a square base, the lower and upper ends profiled. Two bronze decorative elements on the front of the column. The cassolette vase with round foot resting on a square base with indented corners. Above it a bulbous body with a narrow neck and two bronze griffins as handles. Topped by a flat lid with a peg knob. Probably partially replaced, partially chipped and bumped.
