CELLO Probably South German, around 1860-1880 Two-piece spruce top and maple back, dark brown-reddish varnish. 4/4 cello, l. 128,5 cm, body l. 74 cm. Verso unread. Brand, probably Mittenwald workshop. With hard case. Part. bumped and rest., part. Cracks on top and sides, tuning required, painted flames. Provenance: Private collection Dortmund, Acquired from the violin maker Jan Fröhlich, Offenbach am Main.
