CELLO BOW BRIAN ALVEY London, probably around 1970 Round stick, gold mount and headplate, in frog gold laurel wreaths with ribbons, thumb leather, mother-of-pearl inlay. L. 71 cm, weight ca. 0,78g. Violoncello bow marked 'Brian Alvey'. Brian Alvey (1949) worked as a bow maker for the London firm W.E. Hill & Sons from 1966 to 1978. Min. bumped. Provenance: Private collection Rhineland.
