VIOLIN AFTER CARLO ANNIBALE TONONI Bohemia/Saxony, probably 19th century. One-piece spruce top and flamed maple back, dark brown varnish. 4/4 violin, l. 58.5 cm, body length 35.5 cm. Violin label: 'Carlo Tononi Bolognefe Fete in Venezia IA: 1721'. With case, chinrest, rosin, chalk and 5 spare strings. Part rubbed and bumped, cracks to the top, min. dam. to the f-holes, rests on the back. Provenance: Heinrich Gustav Beck - private collection North Germany.
