VIOLIN AFTER JOSEPH GUARNERIUS Probably German, around 1900 Two-piece spruce top and one-piece flamed maple back, dark brown varnish. 4/4 violin, l. 59 cm, body length 35.3 cm. Violin label: 'Joseph Guarnerius fecit Cremonae anno 1789 IHS'. With wooden case, replacement strings, tailpiece, fine tuners, bridge, tuning fork and pipes, replacement pegs, wolf tone remover and rosin. Part rubbed and bumped, cracks to top and back, rest.
