VIOLIN 'NICHOLAS DUCHENE' Probably France, around 1900 Two-piece spruce top and one-piece maple back, brown-dark red varnish, with wooden case. 4/4 violin, l. 59.8 cm, body l. 36 cm. Violin label very illegible: 'A la ville de Raddl? Nicholas Duchene'. Partly bumped and damaged, rest, without bridge, strings and tailpiece, cracked. Provenance: Private collection Münster.
