One-piece spruce top and maple back, carved lion head as scroll, brown varnish, with case. 4/4 violin, l. approx. 59.5 cm, body l. approx. 36 cm. Violin label 'Nicolaus Amatus fecit in Cremona 1680', brand stamp on verso. Violin bow, German, 20th century, round stick, Parisian eye, nickel silver mounting, winding, thumb leather, bone head plate, unmarked, l. approx. 73.6 cm, weight approx. 56g, part bumped. Violin, partly bumped, cracks to the top.
