VIOLIN AND 2 VIOLIN BOWS probably German, beginning of the 20th century. One-piece spruce top and maple back, dark brown varnish, with case. 4/4 violin, l. 59 cm, body l. 35,5 cm. Unmarked. With spare chinrest, 3 Piastro strings (g and e among others), Husson violin resin (rosin), and 3 wolf-knobs, including 2 in wood and 1 in iron. Violin bows, inscribed F.C. Pfretzschner and unmarked, each with octagonal stick, mother-of-pearl ornaments (1x mother-of-pearl eye), ebonized frog, thumb leather, winding worn, new bow hair required, l. 74 and 74.5 cm, weights approx. 56g and 58g. Part. damaged, strings and bridge missing, chinrest damaged.
