TWO 7/8 VIOLINS AFTER CARLO TONONI Probably Italy, 19th/20th century. Each with two-piece spruce top and flamed maple back and one-piece maple back, brown varnish. 7/8 violin, l. 59.3/60 cm, body length 35.7/36 cm. Violin label: 'Garolus de Tononi fecit Venecia' and without violin label. In the original Jäger case. Violin Tononi, partly rubbed and bumped, cracks to top, without bridge, strings and tailpiece and partly rubbed and bumped, one string missing.
