The oversized, reclining figure of the Mother of God standing out among the other, smaller characters; Christ is sitting on her lap. To her left, the Three Magi. To her right three shepherds. On the top four angels and the star. The lower left corner showing the personification of the earth, the lower right corner depicting the personification of the desert presenting their presents. Between them a chorus. The complex image finely rendered in the traditional manner. The background stripped to gesso, vertical crack restored. 79 x 58 cm.
