A VERY FINE ICON SHOWING THE CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST Russian, 16th century Tempera on wood panel with double kovcheg. The background and border gilded. Set into a later panel (vrezka). Partially restored. On the reverse Cyrillic stamp Sovpoltorg (Soviet-Polish Mixed Trading Company). 31.5 x 25.2 cm.
